Dr. Bonnen is board-certified in neurological surgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and a fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch Hospitals in Galveston, where he also completed his internship and residency. Dr. Bonnen is skilled in diagnosing a variety of spinal disorders, brain tumors, and nerve conditions, including carpal tunnel syndrome. The Texas Brain & Spine Center team is also experienced in the long-term management of progressive neurological conditions, such as Parkinson’s disease.

In addition to conservative treatments, Dr. Bonnen specializes in minimally invasive surgeries to treat spinal disorders, like spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease. At Texas Brain & Spine Center, he performs decompression surgeries, spinal fusions, kyphoplasty, and laminectomy surgeries using the latest surgical techniques and state-of-the-art technologies. Sarah is a Physician Assistant who was born and raised in a small town in Minnesota. Sarah received her Bachelor of Arts Degree Majoring in Biology Cum Laude from Augsburg College and her Master of Science in the Physician Assistant Studies from New York Institute of Technology.

For a year, she worked at the emergency department at Queens Hospital. In 2017, Sarah and her husband decided to move to Texas to get away from the cold and have been enjoying the sun and sand of Galveston beach since. In her spare time, you can find Sarah spending time with her husband, who both enjoy the fitness lifestyle. Sarah is very passionate about her job and helping people in any way that she can.
